Got most of the screen shots, but some of them I couldn't work out because it was bad quality and they passed at lightning speed (87 shots in total) :)

Location Shots

These are just a few location shots we took in an around school, they consist of shots of the woods/woodland area which is needed particularly in the trailer because of the sections that have Samara and the well in them, we took shots of some stairs to give us an idea of what the stairs need to be like as they are shot inside a home in the trailer and this is essential and finally we took some of a corridor to show the dark and eerie corridor which is displayed at the very start of the film trailer. We feel that all of these shots are particularly effective as they all
are very similar to the ones in the trailer and our goal is to recreate the film trailer of The Ring as exact as we can to the original. 

The Ring camera shots/lighting

1st shotdown the hallway mid way up the door low lighting with shards of light hitting the door moving towards the door steadily

2nd shot High angle shot of the boy watching TV dark and gloomy with the TV glow lighting up the room

3rd shot Another hallway shot with a woman walking towards the camera down it low lighting with the windows providing some lighting

4th shot Women in a door way turning on the light which is the main lighting in the room. the narrative writing comes in the middle "Seven days later"

5th shot Low angle shot of the boy's face while he is watching the TV the lighting from the TV is the light source

6th shot Image of a dark forest and a water well in the middle

7th shot Off centre shot of the VCR and the numbers changing showing that it is playing

8th shot Same as 5th shot but a blonde woman is running towards the boy and grabs him

9th shot Blonde woman on a bed looking at the tape zooms closer towards her low lighting

Planning For Casting

Casting Ideas

 

 

 

Sean Keen as Noah Clay (Planned) - Most likely to be taking this part, filming should hopefully be beginning on the start of wednesday as we are all of and have a whole day in which we can aqquire lots of filming time.

 

Sophie White as Rachel Keller (Planned) - Again the most likely to gain this part in the trailer, fits the similar description to the character Rachel Keller with the blonde hair etc. Filming will be taking place on the start of the wednesday.


Beth Quarterman as Samara Morgan (Planned) - A possible candidate for the role of Samara, fits the role well as shes smaller, long black hair which can cover the face, filming to take place on the start of wednesday.
