I've carried on with some more editing today, most of our original footage has been all but finished with editing its just down to some of our new footage that needs to be fully and properly edited, I showed Jack and Jac how to use the editing software Final Cut Pro so that they were able to continue on with the "behind the scenes and outakes" editing. Both Jack and Jac and Callum completed their editing of our additional 5 minutes of behind the scenes and outakes so now It's just the finishing touches of our actual footage for editing.

Yesterday me and Devin were able to get as much of the final footage as we possibly could including bits such as the stairs shot, when Aiden is drawing on a table, the umbrella shot and I was able to capture many of the much smaller shots which are mainly displayed right at the end of the trailer with all of the very quick jump cuts. Also me and Devin were able to get all of the footage we needed for our "behind the scenes" secton of our trailer which includes some outakes and small talks/interviews on what we were filming etc.

By the end of today we will have completed all the filming possible for our film trailer, I'm going to finish of the filming with Devin at my house after school or in the evening. Also all of the "behind the scenes" footage will also be hopefully completed to the amount that we can achieve, now that Jack and Jack are back we also have a full group for our final little push onto all the editing so that It's completed by Thursday.

This is another plan of action for the next few days and over the weekend, myself Callum and Devin need to all try and have a go at the editing and have planned lesson periods tomorrow for when we should be doing that, I've made a start on editing so already have a head start anyway, the rest of the filming that we require needs to be done and we will meet up on the Saturday at around 1:00PM to start completing that, then on the Monday and Tuesday we will need to carry on with the editing of the previous footage and the editing of the new completed footage to start to get our piece to come together as a whole trailer re-creation.

I've begun to start the editing process today with Michelle, I started on what footage we actually had so that I'd actually have some form of understanding on how to use the editing software called Final Cut Pro and I feel like it went really well and that I've grasped how to use the software remarkably well, I've done some editing P3 and P5 today and tomorrow I will be editing during P3 once again, Callum P4 and hopefully Devin P5 so that we all have a chance to have a go at the editing.

As much as today didn't go extremely well in the sense of the actual filming locations and the fact that the camera died on me whilst filming I was able to use my SLR camera at home to try and work around the problem by using that to film, I filmed most of the scenes with the main character Rachel (Hannah Gardner) and a few bits with the character Noah (played by Adam Vaux). So all in all today may not have been a total success but some filming has been accomplished.

Poster For Exhibition

I am going to begin and start on the theatrical poster of our film trailer for the exhibition on the 11th of July, I will most likely use the program Serif to create the poster as I feel that I have a hands on experience allready with te program from my past coursework from year 12 when I had to create a music magazine, I will also hope to try and use the program Photoshop and use my knowledge from photography to feed in with that, this will be completed before the exhibition.

We had to make a few changes for our actors as we felt other people fitted/suited some of the roles better than te original ones we had planned so more or less this is in fact an update on the casting.

Adam Vaux as Noah Clay (Planned) - Most likely to be taking this part, a change from the original as we feel he suits the part better than the original candidate.

Hannah Gardner as Rachel Keller (Planned) - Again the most likely to gain this part in the trailer, fits the similar description to the character Rachel Keller with the blonde hair etc.

Devin Cannon as Aiden Keller (Planned) Was one of the only possible candidates for this role and he happily volunteered to create less complication.

We are beginning to start on the editing of our footage today, although we have not captured all the required footage as of yet we are starting the editing so that we have a head start as editing will take a fair bit of time to actually complete. The plan is to try and get some editing roughly done also so that we know how to use the editing software for our later footage that is to be completed hopefully by the end of today.

We were able to get some filming completed at Devin's house, scenes at the very beginning including the parts with the boy watching the video tape on the TV, location filming for the section with the well and the wooded areas of the trailer, the water dripping onto the doorknob was also filmed for testing. We will contunue today filming some other shots that include more of the people such as scenes with the main character Rachel, the man Noah and the completion of the well shots and the outside.

The plan of action for today is to set out on the filming and begin the trailer fliming process with some of the shots inside the house, we will be using Devin's house for these shots like the ones including the little boy watching the videotape on the TV and the woodland area backing on to his house for the outside shots in the woods with the well etc.
